Table Mountain National Park Encroachment Study

The Table Mountain National Park (TMNP) comprises the scenic Table Mountain Chain and, being a World Heritage Site, its beauty and rich biodiversity is recognised globally. The TMNP interfaces with the incredible coastline and seas of the Cape Peninsula and on the other hand with the diverse urban footprint of the City of Cape Town. It is this unique and intricate hard urban interface that was the subject of the Encroachment Study, as numerous private properties encroach onto the Park’s land.

SANParks appointed MCA to identify those encroachments, capture a range of information on each one and to ultimately propose the most appropriate means of addressing these encroachments.
